About Leadership Workshops

Who we are, why we started, and what drives the way we design every session.

Our story

Leadership Workshop Dynamic started in 2017 when our founder, Ciaran Maguire, left a 14-year career in operations management at a Belfast-based logistics firm. He had been promoted three times without receiving a single hour of formal leadership training. Each time, he figured things out by trial and error, and he watched his peers do the same.

The mistakes were predictable. New managers defaulted to micro-management because nobody taught them how to delegate with clarity. Senior leaders avoided conflict until small disagreements became department-wide problems. Ciaran saw these patterns repeat in every organisation he worked with as a consultant, so he built a set of workshops specifically designed to break them.

Since then we have delivered over 340 workshops to organisations ranging from 15-person startups to NHS trusts and local councils. Our client retention rate sits at 78%, meaning most organisations come back for a second or third programme within two years.

Mission and values

Our mission is straightforward: give managers practical skills they can use the Monday after the workshop. We measure success by behaviour change, not by how many slides we present.

Specificity over abstraction

We build every exercise around real scenarios from your organisation. If you manage a warehouse team, we practise feedback conversations that reference shift patterns and safety incidents, not hypothetical boardroom dramas.

Small groups, deep practice

We cap most sessions at 16 participants. That gives everyone enough time to role-play, receive coaching and ask questions. Larger audiences get a keynote, not a workshop.

Honesty about limits

A two-day workshop will not fix a broken culture. We tell clients when they need something we do not offer, whether that is executive coaching, mediation or an organisational restructure. We would rather turn down a booking than deliver something that will not help.

Follow-through

Every participant receives a written action plan. Our facilitators check in by email at the 30-day and 90-day marks to see what stuck and what did not. That follow-up is included in the workshop fee.
